Viet Nam donates essential medicines and medical supplies to the needy in Sri Lanka
Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha, Giac Uyen Pagoda at Phu Nhuan District of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Buddhist Followers of Viet Nam donated USD 44, 600/- (SLRs. 16, 038, 400/-) for the supply of essential medicines and medical products to Sri Lanka.
These donations were initially made in Ha Noi to the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Viet Nam at the Sri Lanka Embassy in Ha Noi, Viet Nam, and Mrs. Margo Aluwihare, Honorary Consul of Sri Lanka in Ho Chi Minh City.
Subsequently, H E Mdm. Ho Thi Thanh Truc, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Sri Lanka handed over such vital medicines and other medical supplies to Dr. Ranga Sabhapathige, Director of the Teaching Hospital, Karapitiya on 18 August 2022 in Galle, which were purchased by utilizing those donated funds.
The Government of Sri Lanka conveys its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who have contributed to these donations and wishes them good health and success in all endeavors.
