Meeting with the Ambassador of Viet Nam to Sri Lanka
H.E. Mdm Ho Thi Thanh Truc, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Sri Lanka had a courtesy call meeting with Prof. A. Saj U. Mendis, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Viet Nam on 27 December 2023 while attending the 21st National Conference on Provincial Affairs under the theme “Strengthening high-quality investment attractions with the aim of green and sustainable development of provinces” organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam.
During the courtesy call meeting, the two Ambassadors reviewed the status of existing Bilateral Relations between Viet Nam and Sri Lanka and discussed the future initiatives for transforming the existing traditional political cooperation into news vistas of economic cooperation in the sphere of trade, business and investments. These initiatives include holding Bilateral Political Consultations and Joint Commission Meeting in Sri Lanka in 2024, establishment of direct flights between Ha Noi and Colombo, possible investment cooperation with VinFast automobile in Viet Nam.
