Translation of Documents

Any documents submitted for the translation should be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the document is originated.

Translations could be obtained from the Embassy, from English to Russian and Russian to English for the following documents:

1. Affidavit for marriage (Certificate of unmarried status)
2. Police Clearance Certificate
3. Birth Certificates
4. Marriage Certificates
5. Educational Certificates

Processing time: 05 working days

Required documents

  1.  Original document.

  2.  Letter of Request (Download)

  3.  Passport (or any other form of ID)

Visa Notice

The Department of Immigration and Emigration of Sri Lanka has announced the deactivation of the operation of www.srilankaevisa.lk website until further notice. The Department further informs that efforts are being made to restore the online visa process at the earliest.

During the interim period, tourists from eligble countries including India can obtain visa on arrival at the port of entry in Sri Lanka.

Please note that on-arrival visa is not available for the passport holders of Afghanistan, Syria, Ghana, Nigeria, Pakistan, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, North Korea and Myanmar. However, nationals from the above countries can apply for visa from the Head Office of the Department of Immigration and Emigration through a representative.

Nationals of China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan who have the facility to obtain visa free of charge may also obtain visa on arrival at the port of entry.
