Ambassador Prasanna Gamage leaves Viet Nam
Prasanna Gamage, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Viet Nam is leaving for Sri Lanka upon the completion of his term as Ambassador on 30 December 2022.
During the departure process, the Ambassador has been meeting with various Vietnamese dignitaries in recent days.
Ambassador Gamage was granted an audience with the Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Chief Prelate of Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha on 14 December 2022 at the Quan Su Pagoda in Ha Noi.
The Ambassador met with His Excellency Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Chairman of the External Relations Commission of the Communist Party of Viet Nam to bid farewell on 20 December 2022.
He also met with the leaders of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Associations and the Viet Nam – Sri Lanka Friendship Association on 21 December 2022.
The Ambassador was hosted for a farewell luncheon by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, H E Mr. Do Hung Viet on 26 December 2022.
Mr. Gamage called on His Excellency Nguyen Xuan Phuc, President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam on 28 December 2022 at the Presidential Palace in Ha Noi and bid farewell to President Phuc.
Ambassador Gamage conveys his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the senior officials of the Government of Viet Nam, Civil Organizations and Associations of Viet Nam, Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha etc, and the Sri Lankan Community in Viet Nam for the generous assistance and cooperation extended to him during his tenure as Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Viet Nam.
