Ambassador of Sri Lanka hosted a lunch to felicitate Madam Ho Thi Thanh Truc Ambassador designate of Viet Nam to Sri Lanka

Mr Prasanna Gamage, Ambassador of Sri Lanka hosted Madam. Ho Thi Thanh Truc, Ambassador-designate of The Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Sri Lanka for lunch at the official residence of the Ambassador in Ha Noi on 20 January 2021. Mdm. Truc is currently the Deputy Director-General of the Research and General Affairs Department of Commission for External Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.

During the luncheon both Ambassador Gamage and Madam Truc discussed modalities on the future enhancement of bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Viet Nam.

M/s Vũ Quang Diệm and Tôn Sinh Thanh, former Ambassadors of Viet Nam to Sri Lanka, M/s Nguyễn Trong Kien, Deputy Director-General of Southeast Asia, South Asia and South Pacific Department of the External relations of Communist Party of Viet Nam, Vũ Văn Minh, Deputy General of the Southeast Asia, South Asia and South Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, Ms Nguyễn Thị Toan, Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam and Ms Prasadi Boomawalage, Third Secretary/Commercial of the Embassy attended the luncheon.

Ambassador Gamage expressed his confidence Mdm. Truc’s tenure in Sri Lanka would enable both countries to elevate the relations to new heights and wished her good luck and success in her new role.
