Ambassador Mendis meets with the President of Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam
Ambassador Prof Saj Mendis, along with Minister Counsellor, Mr. Mahesh Premathilake, called on the prestigious Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (DAV) to discuss pragmatic courses of action to further strengthen and elevate relations between the DAV and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Ha Noi. In this context, the President of DAV, Dr. Pham Lan Dung, and Senior members of the faculty of DAV had a comprehensive and expansive discussion with Prof Mendis and the delegation of the Embassy of Sri Lanka. The DAV plays a pivotal and seminal role not only with regard to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam but also in shaping and crafting the Foreign Policy and international relations including economic diplomacy of the country. The DAV, which is highly respected of its stature and standing as the premier Institution which trains career foreign service officers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, amongst others.
