Ambassador of Sri Lanka visited Quan Su pagoda: Connecting and spreading Buddhist values
On the afternoon of July 18, 2025, in the spirit of friendship and international Buddhist exchange , His Excellency Poshitha Perera – Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Vietnam visited Quan Su Pagoda, the Central Headquarters of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and the Journal of Buddhist Studies (headquartered at Quan Su Pagoda, Hanoi).
Welcoming the Ambassador were Most Venerable Thich Gia Quang, Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Director of the Vietnam Buddhist Research Institute in Hanoi, Editor-in-Chief of the Buddhist Research Journal; Most Venerable Thich Thanh Huan, Deputy Chief of the Central Office I of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
The visit opens up expectations for bilateral academic cooperation programs, exchanges of monks and nuns, sharing of documents, as well as support for the translation of Pali-Chinese-Vietnamese scriptures, thereby contributing to creating a solid foundation for a global Buddhist education while still preserving traditional identity.
