Applicable charges for the services provided by Sri Lanka Missions abroad have also been revised.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Renewal of Driver\u2019s License<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Duly completed MTA 30\/2 Offline Application &#8211; available at the Embassy<\/li>\n<li>Current driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<li>Medical certificate obtained from a recognized medical institution in the US<\/li>\n<li>Valid Sri Lanka Passport<\/li>\n<li>National Identity Card (not compulsory if the NIC number is mentioned in the passport)<\/li>\n<li>Documents to prove the visa \u00a0status in the US (Visa\/PR Card\/Wok Permit)<\/li>\n<li>Two black and white Passport size (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm) \u00a0photographs with white background<\/li>\n<li>Fee: US $ 115\/- (late fee charges of US $ 10 \u00a0is applicable per each lapsed year)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duplicate of a Driver\u2019s License<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\" start=\"6\">\n<li>Duly completed MTA 30\/2 Offline Application &#8211; available at the Embassy<\/li>\n<li>Copy of the complaint made to the nearest police station or deformed or blurred \u00a0Driving License<\/li>\n<li>Medical certificate obtained from a recognized medical institution in the US (Medical certificate is compulsory for Heavy Vehicles Licenses ( Motor Coach, Lorry etc..) . Medical Certificate is optional for Light Vehicle Licenses<\/li>\n<li>Valid Sri Lanka Passport<\/li>\n<li>National Identity Card (not compulsory if the NIC number is mentioned in the passport)<\/li>\n<li>Documents to prove the visa \u00a0status in the US (Visa\/PR Card\/Wok Permit)<\/li>\n<li>Two black and white Passport size (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm) photographs with white background<\/li>\n<li>Fee: US $ 115\/-<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Change of personal details of the Driver\u2019s License<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Duly filled MTA 30\/2 Offline Application &#8211; available at the Embassy<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Current Driving License<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Evidence for the changes (Marriage Certificate\/ Birth Certificate \/Divorce Certificate\/ documents to prove the changes of residential address etc..)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Valid Sri Lanka Passport<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">National Identity Card (not compulsory if the NIC number is mentioned in the passport)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Documents to prove the visa\u00a0 status in the US (Visa\/PR Card\/Wok Permit)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two black and white Passport size (3.5 cm X 4.5 cm)\u00a0 photographs with white background<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fee: $ 115\/-<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Motor Traffic of Sri Lanka has revised the existing guidelines regarding the issuance of driver\u2019s licenses for Sri Lankans living abroad.
