Sri Lanka and Viet Nam discuss to increase tourism exchanges and promote air connectivity
Ambassador Prof. A. Saj U. Mendis had a meeting with Dr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Chairman, Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism on 13th September 2023 at Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism.
Both sides discussed on the importance of tourism promotion and ways to promote bilateral tourism between the two countries as Tourism is one of the key economic pivots of a country.
Religious tourism was one key area that was discussed in detail as both countries follow the same religion. Discussions took place on increasing air connectivity between the two countries as not having a direct flight has been identified as an obstacle to promote tourism.
