Tourists/Foreign Passport Holders/Sri Lankans Landing Requirements to Sri Lanka – 17th Feb 2022

Please find attached Announcement issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka dated 17.02.2022.

On-Arrival ETA at the port of entry to Sri Lanka will be facilitated for the tourists who are unable to obtain ETA by online mode due to time constraints.

As stated by Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka passport holders do not require Covid19 travel insurance coverage for travelling to Sri Lanka. All tourist visa (foreign passport holders) should purchase the travel insurance coverage through online using https://portal.pionline.lk/covidinsurance link.

The travel insurance cost is USD 12 for the mandatory one-month. It covers USD 50,000 including the hospitalization due to Covid19 infection.

Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka suggests to obtain the travel insurance online prior to departure if not purchase policy to leaving the airport in Sri Lanka.
